Time Out says

The Japanese sandfish or hatahata is known particularly as a Tohoku speciality, and Akita Prefecture represents that region at Tsukiji Honganji's annual weekend festival dedicated to local eats – both fishy and otherwise – from two areas where the hatahata is commercially important. Head over for goodies like pork cartilage skewers, beef nabe, crab soup and Kotonoura beef ramen, plus ample quantities of the eponymous fish – a refreshing lineup of dishes rarely seen at other food festivals in Tokyo.
