Time Out says

This event caters to coffee newbies or beginners who like to learn more about the black beverage. Non-drinkers tend to think of coffee as too bitter, but Coffee Kindergarten is looking to change your mind by introducing different ways of enjoying the popular brew.

You’ll find a variety of coffee-flavoured sweets and desserts such as jelly, candy, chocolate and donuts, as well as coffee beans by Kesennuma brand Anchor Coffee. The mild blend on offer is perfect for coffee newcomers. You could ease your way in by purchasing a pack of coffee milk that’s known for its gentle and sweet taste. You could also enjoy a freshly brewed cup of joe, which you can add milk and sugar to your heart's content. Everyone who orders a coffee will receive a free coaster.

To get started on your home coffee habit, pick up some coffee equipment at the event, such as pots, drippers and manual grinders. There are also some fancy mugs and glasses available. Famous illustrator Sachiko Temmyo is in charge of the overall design of the event, so you’ll find a range of goods featuring her adorable character motifs.

You can join a coffee-brewing workshop for ¥500, where you’ll learn how to grind the beans and brew and enjoy your coffee afterwards.

The event takes place daily from 11am to 8pm.
