Time Out says

All is bright in Daikanyama during the biggest candle event in Japan. It’s hard to think of a more appropriate way to spend the weekend before Christmas than strolling through this charming neighborhood illuminated with the warm flickering lights of 8,000 candles. There are lots to look forward to, including caroling, workshops, markets and plenty of food and drinks. Daikanyama Noel began in 2016 as a way to promote peace and acceptance of diversity, and candle artists from all over the country have been invited to decorate the streets with their work. Don’t worry if you’ve already filled your evening plans; you can still appreciate the beautiful candle displays and installations in the day as you shop for last minute Christmas gifts.
