Early Morning Lotus-Viewing

You'll need to get up really early to see the lotus flowers in full bloom at Yokohama's Sankeien garden: the fickle plants are at their most beautiful around 7am, but we recommend heading over long before that in order to arrive in time for the spectacle. The park's teahouse serves a special breakfast menu of rice porridge and tororo rice, while kids can cool off under the 'lotus showers'.
