Time Out says

See one of the world’s largest plants flowering at Jindai Botanical Gardens this December. Titan arum, also known as the corpse flower due to its unpleasant odour resembling that of a decaying corpse, is endemic to the Indonesian island Sumatra. The unusual plant, which can reach up to three metres in height, only flowers once every few years for just two days. To make sure you don’t miss the event, check the garden’s Twitter account for the latest updates on the flowering status.

Jindai Botanical Gardens is usually closed on Mondays, but park authorities decided to open exclusively for this rare spectacle on Monday December 12 from 9.30am to 5pm. In case the plant starts flowering over the weekend, the park will open one hour earlier at 8.30am. Check the Twitter account for the latest information.
