Japan Traditional Craft Festa

Coming on strong right before Golden Week, this two-day showcase for the traditional arts takes over Ueno Park with an 'Experience Zone' featuring workshops on calligraphy, tea ceremony, ceramics and much more. Attendees can also try their hand at street performing and even take part in a monkey show, shop for handheld fans, tenugui handkerchiefs, chopsticks and bonsai trees, and fill up on festival grub over at the Food Zone. Should be fun for anyone looking to learn more about time-honoured cultural practices (or performing monkeys).
