Aiming to promote awareness of Japan’s traditional crafts, this 13-day showcase is spread out over 41 shops and galleries in Tokyo and invites you to learn about – and then shop for – a broad cross-section of crafts. The 41 genres on show include lacquer, ceramics, paper, kimonos, knives, textiles and stonework, many of which you can try your hand at if you take part in one of the numerous workshops going on. Participating shops range from venerable old-timers Ginza Natsuno and Kyukyodo to Tsutaya Books Roppongi and Dean & Deluca – the full list can be viewed here (in Japanese only).
