Galleries and shops all over Kichijoji join hands for a festival dedicated to all things thread, so knitters, cross-stitchers, weavers, quilters and other handicraft enthusiasts should have a field day. In addition to exhibits of yarn art, you can look forward to workshops and sales at a total of 46 participating businesses. Visit as many as you can and collect stamps for a 'thread bingo' – completed cards can be turned in for tasty prizes. Sounds like a great excuse for a weekend stroll around Kichijoji, no?
