Time Out says

This autumn leaves light-up at Shinagawa’s Ikedayama Park is themed on miakashi, a type of votive light used in temples, shrines and Japanese gardens. Different colours are used to intensify the red of the leaves, creating a three-dimensional effect and adding depth to the trees. The light display around the park changes colour every few minutes and candles are placed along the paths. While strolling through the park, you’ll also notice the scent of incense, which adds to the traditional atmosphere of miakashi.

The light-up takes place daily from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
