Maach Ecute New Year's

The Maach Ecute shopping complex at Kanda's renovated Manseibashi station marks the coming of 2016 with a packed programme of fun, planned with support from nearby Kanda Shrine. Check out ukiyo-e prints depicting the shrine in the Edo era, catch a taiko performance (on January 3 at 2pm) and shop for at least ¥500 on New Year's Day – your receipt will entitle you to a free bottle of Kanda Ginger Ale. There'll also be pop-up shops selling all kinds of knickknacks fit for the occasion, so head on over and check out the action – but note that the building will be closed on New Year's Eve.
