Time Out says

Don’t worry if you missed some of the summer fireworks festivals that happened over the last few weeks. Japanese art collective Naked Inc is hosting a digital fireworks show along the Meguro river over the August 27-28 weekend.

The company has previously created several projection mapping and digital art experiences at some of Japan’s most iconic landmarks including Nijo Castle, Abeno Harukas and Dogo Onsen. Now, for two days only, you get to experience it in Tokyo for free.

Head over to Gotanda Fureai Waterside Square from 5pm to enjoy a night market filled with food trucks, and then stick around for the Naked Fireworks projection mapping show, which starts at 7pm. The colourful digital fireworks come in all shapes and sizes, and they  look like kaleidoscopic images and blooming flowers.

The projections will appear on the walls along the river until 9pm. Paper lanterns will be handed out for free to ensure social distancing.
