Miyagi Sendai Beef Festival

Miyagi's satellite shop in Ikebukuro promotes all the goodies the Tohoku prefecture is known for, and this time it's shining the spotlight on beef, beef and more beef from Sendai. There will be beef tastings, sales of high-quality (and surely expensive) beef, beef recipe presentations and much more at this beefiest of extravaganzas. The Sendai cattle are reared in areas famed for their pure water and tasty rice, and this particular wagyu beef is known for its balance between the lean meat and a fatty marble texture. Rumour has it that Sendai strawberries will be also available for tasting, while sake sales are set to take place as well.
