Moonlight City

Ikebukuro's Sunshine City welcomes the moon-watching season with all sorts of lunar-themed fun. Head up to the building's 60th-floor observatory to sample 'moonlight salty caramel gelato' and other sweet treats at the tatami-mat Otsukimi Cafe (open 10am-10pm, last entry 9pm), or visit Sunshine Aquarium to check out the moonlight-coloured displays of jellyfish and other marine creatures. There are also jazz performances at the observatory on September 9, 16 and 17 (from 7pm).
