Musashi-Murayama Sunflower Garden

Surely one of the most colourful spots in all of Tokyo, this sunflower field out in the western city of Musashi-Murayama makes for a pretty stunning sight in July and August. The garden's 500,000 brightly yellow blossoms bring a touch of country summer to the suburbs and are well worth seeking out despite the inconvenient location – getting there requires a ten-minute walk from the nearest Tama Monorail station or a bus ride from Tachikawa.
