Considered the finest kind of awamori, Okinawa's answer to sake and shochu, kusu (awamori aged for at least three years) will be the centre of attention at Daikanyama's T-Site over one January weekend. 11 distilleries will be serving up a total of around 50 varieties of the traditional sweet liquor, and here's the best part: tasting is free! Saturday will also see a talk on the topic and a shamisen performance, so head on over for a taste of the tropics in wintery Tokyo.
