Time Out says

People Design Institute is holding the Super Welfare Expo for the sixth year running. The event seeks to promote diversity in the city by breaking down social barriers for people with disabilities, the LGBT+ community and other minority groups.

This year’s event will feature a new demonstration called ‘Superhuman Sports’, where you can get to know about the way sports are evolving with new technology to to be more inclusive. There will also be discussions and workshops based on how to improve the structure of the city and re-shape society to make it more accessible and easier for everyone. The main venue of the event, on the eighth floor of Shibuya Hikarie, will feature a ‘Human Library’ where you can obtain information from people by ‘reading’ them.

On September 4, the president of Time Out Tokyo, Hiroyuki Fushitani, will be giving a talk on multiculturalism in Tokyo from 5pm to 8.30pm, alongside the director of Smappa, Nao Kunito.
