Sweet Potato Festival

This popular annual festival celebrates the life and work of Konyo Aoki, the famous agricultural scientist who furthered the cultivation of sweet potato in Japan. The temple area fills up with stalls selling sweet potato snacks like yaki-imo and fukashi-imo, and there'll also be lots of other related merchandise on offer.
