Enjoy Taiwanese food and drinks at this massive two-week festival at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. Between July 30 and August 14, you can enjoy a large variety of typical Taiwanese night market eats such as deep-fried squid, chicken or fermented tofu, savoury soy-milk soup, pepper meat buns, sweet potato balls, tofu pudding, and more. You’ll also find popular dishes such as xiaolongbao, beef noodles and lo bah png (minced pork rice).
Since it’s summer, the festival will also be serving kakigori shaved ice dessert that comes with a range of toppings including mango, pineapple, mung beans, tapioca, and peanuts. Plus, there will be lots of shopping to do, as you’ll be able to purchase Taiwanese sweets and confectionery (pineapple tarts!), beverages, condiments and home decor items.
Entry is ¥800 (students ¥500) and you’ll get a free tote bag filled with pineapple cake and Taiwanese oolong tea.
The festival takes place daily from 11am to 9pm (last entry/orders 8pm).
