Tokyo Daijingu New Year's Hatsumode

If you're looking for love in in the new year, this is the spot. Hatsumode is the act of visiting a shrine (a Buddhist temple is okay, too) on the first few days of the new year and Tokyo Daijingu, a 'love power spot' popular with couples and weddings, is opening its doors starting from 11pm on December 31. Don't forget to fill out an ema, a wodden signboard where you write a wish. Since this is the shrine of love, we're hoping it'll work some magic.
