Yakiimo Fes

Whenever winter arrives, Tokyoites look forward to snacking on warm yakiimo (roasted sweet potato). Dedicated yakiimo trucks are a common sight on the streets during this season, and this year there will also be the Yakiimo Fes at Okubo Park from November 12 to 23, which will be serving up a host of sweet potato desserts. There will be 30 kinds of sweet treats including roasted sweet potato drizzled with honey cheese sauce, sweet potato tempura, sweet potato soft serve and even a sweet potato crepe. Entry is free, but don’t forget to bring some cash to fill up on these delicious desserts.
