Yokohama Oktoberfest 2011

After four seasonally slipshod efforts here in Tokyo (and that absolute travesty organised by Asahi), the Kanto region is finally getting an Oktoberfest that actually happens in October. True, it means hopping the train down to Yokohama, but you'll be rewarded with an eminently agreeable setting – the Red Brick Warehouse complex, currently celebrating its 100th birthday – and a dizzying selection of 70-odd beers, including four official brews from the Munich Oktoberfest itself, plus some locally brewed craft beers.
