Last year, we had Brat summer. This year, a there’s different lime green queen taking over the UK – FlixBus.

FlixBus has been going from strength to strength the past few years, building a 200-strong fleet of coaches and offering trips across 80 different locations. And it’s certainly not slowing down.

As part of its plans for expansion, FlixBus is launching its first direct, mega cheap bus routes between Brighton and London. So, whether you want to get out of the Big Smoke for some fresh sea air, or have a mini-break in the capital city, it’s got you covered. The best bit? Prices start from a mere £4.49 each way.

The trip takes around two and a half hours, which is an hour longer than it takes on the train. But for tickets that are a third of the rail price, we don’t think that’s too shabby. The new connections will run twice a day, starting on Friday, June 13.

Andreas Schorling, senior managing director of FlixBus UK, said: ‘Londoners now have even more affordable, sustainable, and reliable travel options for weekend getaways, airport connections, and visiting friends and family this summer.

‘Brighton is an iconic British destination and we’re excited to offer a direct route from the capital just in time for the warmer months.’

Over the past several months, the company has also launched routes to Bournemouth, Newquay, and Truro and is introducing direct services to Gatwick Airport and from Cambridge to London Stratford in the very near future.
