We know, we know: rail tickets are bloody expensive these days. Maybe if they were a little more affordable, we’d all have a better shot at exploring new corners of this country a bit more often. Luckily enough, though, ScotRail has just launched a half-price ticket sale on all off-peak fares, with millions of discounted seats available.

To get the deal, you have to book your trip January 26 and February 2, with travel valid between January 26 and February 28 2023. All you need to do is head over to the ScotRail website and enter the promo code SALE23 in the railcards and promotions field.

There’s no limit on the number of half-price tickets available, and the offer is valid on travel seven days a week. It’s valid for return travel within a month and is available on all off-peak tickets on ScotRail services. ScotRail’s ‘Kids for a Quid’ can be used in conjunction with this offer, which means up to four children can travel for £1 return each, with an accompanying adult.

Sounds all right, doesn’t it? Better get planning a winter getaway to Edinburgh, Glasgow or the Highlands (pack warm, though!)
