As for who they will be, this won’t be confirmed until either very close to the time, or when the act comes out on stage.

Who are the most rumoured acts for secret sets this year?

Lewis Capaldi, Lorde and Pulp have all been rumoured for Glasto 2025.

Capaldi is earmarked to be playing the Pyramid at 4.55pm on Friday. The singer last played the festival in 2023, where he apologised to fans after his voice gave out and he struggled to make it through his set. He’s been rumoured to be making a return ever since.

Jarvis Cocker and co. are strongly tipped to be ‘Patchwork’ on the Pyramid at 6.15pm on Saturday. At their O2 gig on June 23, Pulp, who have just released a new album More, reportedly said they had ‘a big secret to share’. Could that be an appearance at Glasto?

Lorde is rumoured to be the surprise act at Woodsies at 11.30am on Friday. The Kiwi singer was spotted in London at the beginning of June when she surprised fans with an impromptu gig in Drumsheds’ car park. Fans also hope she might join Charli xcx on the Other Stage on Saturday night to perform the remix of ‘Girl, so confusing’.

Word is that Haim are the secret guest on the Park Stage at 8.30pm on Saturday. Their fourth album I Quit is due to be released on June 20, a week before Glasto. When asked by BBC Radio 2 about the rumours, Haim replied: ‘Well, we’re playing Margate. We’ll be in the area.’

Whispers of Timothée Chalamet, who would be performing the songs of Bob Dylan with tribute band Not Completely Unknown on the Acoustic Stage on Saturday, have been pretty much ruled out.

Other acts rumoured include Olivia Dean and Rachel Chinouriri at Strummerville, enigmatic electronic duo Two Shell at Babylon Uprising (call +44 73512 57957 to hear a mysterious message about that), CMAT at BBC Introducing, and Fat Dog, playing under the alias ‘Yessir’ at Strummerville.

Which secret acts performed last year?

2024 was pretty sparse when it came to surprise sets at Glastonbury. Kasabian was the only big act to perform in a TBA slot last year.

How do you find out about surprise sets?

The Glastonbury app will be updating punters with news at the festival, sometimes sending notifications just minutes before the set. Otherwise, it will be good old-fashioned word-of-mouth. We also recommend following Secretglasto on X for up to date news and alerts.
