From new openings by favourite brands like Aldi and Asda to store closures by Wilko, Next and Boots, recent months have seen massive movements in the UK retail industry.

To add to the pile of brand store closures this year, another high street stronghold has announced a slew of closures. Beloved footwear chain Clarks has announced that it is shutting several branches nationwide. Currently standing at 320 stores in the UK, several Clarks shops have closed in the past months and more are pulling the shutters down this winter.

It’s not all sad news for Clarks fans though. The shoe brand has also opened a couple of new shops this year. New openings include East Street (Somerset) and Eldon Square (Newcastle).

Here’s what we know about those Clarks closures so far.
