Edinburgh – Oasis is finally coming for you. For the last month, you’ve had to watch from afar as the Gallagher brothers brought their long-awaited reunion tour to crowds half the world away in Cardiff, Manchester and London. But the wait will be over in a matter of days.
The Britpop legends are playing three nights at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on Friday August 8, Saturday August 9 and Tuesday August 12. The Gallagher brothers’ arrival overlaps with the Edinburgh Fringe, so expect the city to be much, much busier than normal and leave yourself plenty of time to get to the venue (Oasis are expected on stage around 8.15pm).
You’ll be looking back in anger if you miss the powerful moment that reconciled Liam and Noel first stroll on stage. So, here are all the best options for getting to Oasis at Murrayfield Stadium.

How to get to Oasis at Murrayfield Stadium
On foot
The stadium is only a 45 minute walk from Edinburgh city centre. From Princes Street, you head to Shandwick Place, following it on to Atholl Place, then continuing down Haymarket Terrace. Yhen, depending on your ticket, you either turn left onto Roseburn Street at the Roseburn Bar (for the south turnstiles) or keep going and turn left onto Riversdale Crescent at the Murrayfield Bar (for the north turnstiles).
Train
The closest stations to the venue are Waverley and Haymarket, both of which are a 15-20 minute walk away. The route from the stations to the stadium will be clearly signposted on the days.
Tram
The tram from the city centre drops fans off on Roseburn Street, right outside the stadium. You can either buy your ticket in advance online or just tap on tap off with your contactless card. There’ll be extra trams running in the evening especially for the event. The last of them will depart Murrayfield at around 1am.
Bus
Edinburgh’s buses run frequently from the city centre to Murrayfield Stadium and from places further afield, like Islington Park & Ride, Portobello, Cameron Toll and Edinburgh Airport.
The X12 and X22 will run frequently from Royal Highland Centre; service 25 will take fans from Hermiston Park to Gorgie Road, a 10 minute walk from the stadium and services 22, 30, X27, X28 and more will pick people up from the city centre. See all your bus options on the Lothian Buses map below.

There’s also a Citylink service that connects Dundee to Murrayfield Stadium and one that travels between Glasgow and Edinburgh every 15 minutes. You can book your space on either of those here.
Coach
For Oasis’s Scottish shows, Big Green Coach is offering return trips from Aberdeen, Arbroath, Carlisle, Dundee, Dunfermline, Falkirk, Glasgow, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Manchester, Perth and Stirling. You’ve got to book in advance though – get your ticket here.
Car
If you’re driving into Edinburgh, Murrayfield recommends that you park up at a Park and Ride as there is no parking at the stadium itself. The tram from Ingliston Park and Ride will drop you off right at the stadium’s doorstep. You could also book a parking space in the city here.
Be warned: there will be several road closures across the city while Oasis are in town. Edinburgh Council has highlighted them in the map below.
