The major rugby tournament is back for its 2026 edition – here’s how to make sure you don’t miss a kick, tackle, scrum or try

Rugby union fans, the wait is finally over. The Six Nations, one of the mightiest tournaments in the rugby world, is back for 2026. The month-and-a-half competition will see France attempt to defend their 2025 title, with England, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales out to stop them.
Between February 5 and March 14, several of the planet’s greatest rugby teams will face off in some of Europe’s mightiest sports venues. And if you can’t get to one of the matches yourself, worry not: every moment will be broadcast on free-to-watch TV for UK audiences.
As before, BBC and ITV share the broadcast rights for the Six Nations. Find out everything you need to know about catching every try, kick, tackle and scrum below.
The tournament’s games will all be shown on either ITV1 or BBC One. They’ll also be streamed on those broadcasters’ respective streaming services: ITVX and BBC iPlayer.

Tickets to the tournament’s games are in short supply, but your best bet is to check the venue pages for each stadium: Twickenham, Stade de France, Aviva Stadium, Stadio Olimpico, Murrayfield and Principality Stadium.
You can find resale options on sites like Ticombo and Viagogo though, as always, be wary when buying tickets from second-hand sellers.
All the above venues will have VIP options for Six Nations matches.
If you want to go even further and turn your match into a holiday, IHG Hotels & Resorts – official hotel partner of the Guinness Six Nations – has launched its first ever ‘fancierge’ service. The initiative builds trips around Six Nations matches, including stuff like patisserie making in Paris and Irish dancing in Dublin. Find out more on the IHG website here.
