The World Cup is in full swing and we’re almost at the end of the group stages. The last matches will be played this week, with England and Wales battling it out to decide who will make it to the last 16.

We can expect the two UK nations to pull out all the stops to make it to the knockout stages of the tournament. England smashed Iran with a 6-1 victory in their first match, then drew a subsequent one with USA, while Wales lost 2-0 to Iran and also drew with USA.

With Wales fighting to avoid crashing out (it will depend on a few factors including the outcome of the USA-Iran game) and England hoping to come top of the group, it’s sure to be an interesting match. Here’s everything you need to know.

When is the England versus Wales match?

The game between England and Wales will take place on Tuesday November 29.

What time does the match kick off?

The match kicks off at 7pm and pre-kick-off commentary will be available before the game.

How can I watch the England versus Wales game on TV?

The BBC will be broadcasting the match on BBC One and BBC Sport with commentary available before the 7pm kick-off. You can also watch it on the Welsh broadcaster S4C.

Is there a live-stream of the England versus Wales game?

You can watch the game live on BBC iPlayer, provided you have a TV licence.

Can I listen on the radio?

The match will also be broadcast on the radio. You can listen on stations such as talkSPORT and BBC Radio 5 Live.

Where is the match being played?

The match is being played at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, popularly known as the Al-Rayyan Stadium, in Al Rayyan, Qatar.

Can England and Wales both qualify?

Currently, England is top of Group B, with four points – followed by Iran with three, USA with two and Wales on one. If England win against Wales, they’ll finish at the top of Group B with a total of seven points. If Wales win, they’ll finish with four points.

Then, whether Wales go through or not depends on the USA-Iran match. If Iran and USA draw, taking both teams up one point, Iran and Wales will both have four points and the USA will be out on three. With Iran and Wales on the same points, the determining factor will be goal difference.

Currently, Wales and Iran have the same goal difference, so for Wales to go through, they will need to secure a win against England with at least one goal (Iran’s draw will mean their goal difference doesn’t change).

Wales could also go through if they defeat England with more than four goals, increasing the goal difference between them and the other two teams. No pressure.

Any big team news?

Following Hennessey’s red card during the Wales-Iran match, his suspension will mean that Danny Ward will likely step up to play in goal.

For England, Southgate will have to decide wether Kyle Walker returns to the right-hand side over Kieran Trippier, who is continuing recovery from a groin injury.

Meanwhile, both Jack Grealish and Phil Foden could be selected in midfield in place of Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling, and Harry Kane could be replaced by Marcus Rashford in attack.
