Dave’s Hot Chicken – the hyped fast food joint backed by celebs like Drake, Usher, and Samuel L. Jackson – opened its first UK shop in London last December and the hype still hasn’t died down. Six months later the spicy chicken shop remains as popular as ever, regularly boasting queues around the block and needing a security guard to keep things in order (well, at least it did when Time Out paid the place a visit).

Now more of the UK is set to get a taste of Dave’s Hot Chicken. The second and third DHC outposts in the UK will open Birmingham in July and Manchester in August, as part of long-term plans to open dozens more shops across the country.

The Birmingham branch of Dave’s Hot Chicken will open on New Street on July 1, while the Manchester edition is planned for entertainment centre Printworks and will welcome customers from August 8.

Both sites will boast the chain’s signature sliders, tenders, sides and milkshakes, with its chicken served in seven spice levels. One of those spice levels is famously so hot that Dave’s makes customers who try it sign a waiver.

So, where in the UK could be next to get a Dave’s Hot Chicken? The brand currently has future locations under wraps, though has revealed it wants to open seven restaurants this calendar year. Watch this space for spicy updates!
