Foodies are in for a treat this summer, as 11 British restaurants were added to the Michelin Guide in June 2026 – including eight outside London.

Roughly every month, the Michelin Guide adds new restaurants to its rankings. This is different to the Michelin stars which are announced once a year (you can read about the restaurants awarded stars in February 2026 in our round-up here), though a place on the guide means a restaurant is in the running to be awarded a star.

Whether a restaurant makes the guide depends on five criteria: quality ingredients, flavour, cooking techniques, consistency, and even the chef's personality.

Three London restaurants were added to the guide in June – Burro in Covent Garden, Taq in Notting Hill and Mazarine, Mayfair. Read why those restaurants earned a spot on the Michelin Guide hereOutside of London, eight restaurants were added to the Michelin Guide. Here’s the lowdown on those.

UK additions to the Michelin Guide in June 2026

Daise, Oxton

Intimate Daise is the brainchild of Chef Tony Parkin, whose impressive set of credentials includes working with Aktar Islam at the two-Michelin-starred Opheem in Birmingham and in restaurant Gordon Ramsay. Now, he brings his prowess to Merseyside, along with co-owners Laura (his wife) and fellow restaurateur Andrew Sheridan.

The menu focuses on hyper-seasonal produce, with dishes incorporating Asian-influenced flavours. Highlights from the signature tasting menu include Orkney Scallop with Rogan Josh and fennel naan and Asian-infused desserts like yuzu with white chocolate, all served with an optional drinks pairing.

Blossom, Norwich

On Norwich’s Upper St Giles Street, Blossom combines the cosiness of a neighbourhood spot with fine dining. The restaurant was launched by friends Mortimer Fraser and Fabio Miani, who met working together at the Wildebeest in Norfolk. The menu focuses on seasonal produce, from local asparagus to Norfolk black chicken. At dinner, expect a four-course fixed-price menu that pays homage to the chef’s Italian roots through the likes of brown crab risotto and pork loin with kohlrabi.

Isla, Durham

Isla opened in June last year under the helm of a team from nearby Durham mainstay Coarse. Brunch is a key focus: the menu includes a giant crumpet with spicy sausage, flatbread with potatoes, dukkah spice and dill cream cheese and a take on the classic ham, egg and chips. For lunch, there are plenty of vegetable dishes, with special mentions for the salt and pepper tempura tenderstem broccoli.

Ogof, Cardiff

Ogof takes its name from the Welsh word for cave, paying homage to its inspiration of the French cave à manger tradition (aka ‘dining cellar’). The debut venture of Alex Vines, Zanna Clarke, and Siôn Iorwerth, this cosy restaurant and natural wine shop serves up seasonal cooking in a trendy, contemporary setting.

Alex has stints at 40 Maltby Street and Rochelle Canteen on his CV, so it’s no surprise that Ogof is impressing diners. On the dinner menu, written up on a blackboard, you can expect elevated Welsh produce like salt marsh lamb with nettles, Dexter beef tartare and monkfish.

One Fish Street, Bristol

Chandos Road is quickly becoming one of Bristol’s trendiest food spots, and One Fish Street is emblematic of that. The Redland resto focuses on fresh oysters and modern British seafood small plates. There’s no airs and graces here. The founders, who moved to Bristol from Cornwall in 2025, are adamant the emphasis should be on relaxed service with simple yet delicious food. Fans love their signature cuttlefish ragù arancini and pan-roasted hake with masala sauce

Posie, Manchester

Since it opened last year, Posie  just off Market Street – has become a hit with locals for its cocktails, Jersey oysters, small plates and global wine list. Highlights of their food menu include Guinness rarebit on toast, confit chicken croquettes and pork belly skewers. Or sample one of their Jersey oysters – they’re just £1 in certain hours, and even better paired with £8 aperitifs during happy hour, which runs from 12pm-4pm.

Posie said the news it had gained a place on the list came as ‘an incredible surprise’, adding that this ‘really is a proud moment for us and the team’.

Reef Knot, St Mawes

In St Mawes’s Idle Rocks bay, Reef Knot is led by executive chef Guy Owen. Celebrating local suppliers and produce, the menu changes daily. Diners can expect elevated dishes such as steamed Dover sole, brill with black butter, capers, and samphire, or scallop and lobster ravioli. Even better, you can enjoy all of this with an enviable sea view overlooking the harbour.

Stem, Brighton and Hove

This Hove bistro and wine bar was opened in January by the team behind the Michelin-recommended Dilsk. Expect seasonal British food with low-intervention wines, craft beers and a vinyl soundtrack. The focus is on seasonal, produce-led cooking; think deer tartare, local lamb rump and Cornish mackerel. There are plenty of vegetarian options on offer too, and a dessert menu with a blockbuster sticky toffee ice cream sandwich.
