If Prince Harry’s raucous memoir is failing to fill the The Crown-shaped hole in your life – you’re looking for something a little less TMI and a little more polished, let’s say – then you might be in luck. If you also happen to be searching for a new home and have roughly £1 million to spare, that is.

Now you have the chance to own a gorgeous luxury apartment at Dallington Hall in Northamptonshire, former home to Princess Diana’s great uncle, Charles Spencer.

At 4,600 square feet and spread across two floors, the apartment is the largest property in the Grade-II listed mansion. For £995,000, you’ll get five bedrooms, a sauna, a drawing room, a private garden and a stunning Georgian staircase. It also has a games vault in what used to be the wine cellar, where Spencer apparently entertained a host of Conservative Party members.

The property dates all the way back to 1720. Spencer lived at Dallington until 1910 when he became the sixth Earl Spencer following his older brother’s death. Decades later it was given to the council so that it could house wounded soldiers during WWII. It was sold in 1980 and later converted into the existing apartments.

The apartment is just around the corner from Althorp House, where Diana lived with her family until her engagement.
