Whether you prefer a historical city break or party holiday in Spain, there’s one thing we can all agree on: air travel from the UK has been a shambles lately. With cancellations and delays all over the shop, holidaymakers have found their holiday plans in disarray all throughout the summer.
But now peak holiday season is over, things appear to be quietening down – and Ryanair has launched a whole load of exciting new flight routes. The 21 new connections cover six UK airports, with new destinations including Lapland, Santander, Toulouse and Leipzig.
Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary said that the airline’s boost is helped by the fact that it doesn’t fly from London Heathrow. The mega airport’s operational issues this summer have led to a daily cap on the number of people departing from that destination.
