Winter is well under way – so under way, in fact, that the weather forecast is predicting that up to 10cm of snow could fall in the UK this week.

While times are tough for everyone at this time of year, it’s a particular concern for people who are sleeping rough. Streetlink is a website and mobile app that allows members of the public to alert local services when they see someone sleeping rough in England and Wales, which could help to end their homelessness.

Since it launched ten years ago, Streetlink has received more than half a million alerts about people sleeping rough.

There are two super-easy ways you can report a rough sleeper to Streetlink:

Visit www.streetlink.org.uk and drop a pin to show exactly where you saw someone sleeping rough.

Download the Streetlink App from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.

It takes no time at all, and it could make all the difference for a vulnerable person.

Streetlink are appealing for donations to help them ensure they can cope with an influx of alerts this winter and keep their services running smoothly. Find out more and donate here
