Having opened 13 venues all over the south of England, as well as in places like Mykonos, Barcelona and New York, exclusive members club Soho House has finally decided to venture up north. Manchester, you’re up.

The hub for creative types will be located in Granada Studios, a former TV studio complex in Spinningfields which happens to be where The Beatles did their first ever televised performance. Across five floors, members of the new branch will be able to enjoy a luxury gym, steam room, sauna, indoor pool, a very glam rooftop pool, a late-night bar, live music space and 23 bedrooms available to stay in.

We also know that the interiors will take inspiration from the history of Old Granada Studios and its 1950s-1960s roots. So, expect an eclectic array of bespoke and vintage furnishings.

On top of that, the club will feature a carefully curated collection of works from artists based in or around Manchester, like Osman Yousefzada and Mary Ramsden. It will also run a ‘Soho Mentorship’, offering networking and coaching opportunities to young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.

Soho House Manchester is expected to open in spring this year and applications for membership are open as we speak. If it sounds up your street and you have a spare £1,800 to spend, you can apply over on the Soho House website. Here’s a sneak peak of what it will look like:

And if you’re already a Soho House member, you’ve got another brand new branch in West London to look forward to. Plans were also in the works for the chain’s first Scottish outlet, but they’ve now been ditched.
