It’s pretty grim in the UK at the minute, isn’t it? The weather is abysmal and there seems to be bad news everywhere you turn. We can’t catch a break, really. So it sounds like it’s just about time for a holiday.
But treating yourself doesn’t have to start with a Ryanair flight out to pastures new – it can be as simple as a UK staycation. And if you fancy that, then you better treat yourself to a proper nice hotel. Luckily for you, the decision has just been made easy – as the top boutique hotel in the UK has been revealed.
The winner? Lime Wood Hotel, which is found right in the middle of the New Forest National Park in Hampshire. The hotel has its own spa, indoor and outdoor pools, some seriously good forest views, and the rooms are super cosy. In second and third place were The Newt in Somerset and Heckfield Place in Hampshire, which both look stylish AF.
The Top 50 Boutique Hotels list is curated by travel experts, writers and influencers, and takes place every year. In 2022, Lime Wood came 18th, but it jumped 17 places to take the crown in this year’s awards.
The top ten are as follows:
- Lime Wood Hotel, Hampshire
- The Newt, Somerset
- Heckfield Place, Hampshire
- The Pig at Bridge Place, Kent
- Lympstone Manor, Devon
- Grantley Hall, Yorkshire
- Artist Residence London, London
- Idle Rocks, Cornwall
- Thyme, Cotswolds
- Padstow Townhouse, Cornwall
