Summer’s officially here and linen-clad Britons are off to the seaside! The UK is finally feeling a little more summery and the weather is now perfect for heading down to one of the country’s many, many gorgeous places by the sea, whether you’re after coastal views, long pebble beaches, fab piers or any other classic Great British seaside attractions.

To find out which UK seaside destinations Britons are headed to this summer, Airbnb has dug into its booking data and revealed which places are trending the most right now.

Allerdale in Cumbria tops the list. While many heading to Cumbria go to the Lake District, the district of Allerdale stands out thanks to its secluded beaches and birdwatching. Allerdale isn’t the only Cumbria destination that made the list, with Barrow-in-Furness and Copeland also making the top ten. Second came unspoiled Flintshire in Wales, while classic English resort town Blackpool came third.
