Time Out says

The Ozsploitation movement of the '70s and early '80s conquered the world in the form of 'Mad Max', but behind that undoubted classic were a whole slew of cheap, crass, occasionally excellent but most often unwatchable skin flicks, nasties, chopsocky actioners and tyre-screeching road thrillers.

Mark Hartley's cheerful documentary employs an impressive cast of talking heads– Quentin Tarantino, Dennis Hopper and Jamie Lee Curtis pop up alongside a proud cast of Aussie cinematic reprobates- and some nicely chosen clips and graphics to tell the tale of this golden age of drive-in splatter. It's all fairly furtive and tasteless, but the filmmakers enthusiasm for the subject and some timely reminders of a few genuine corkers– 'The Long Weekend', 'Razorback'– carry it through.
