Everybody loves to get freaky—the urge to reproduce is built into our DNA. But not everyone likes to be tickled and teased in exactly the same way, and where you live can reveal a lot about how you like to get off.

A study released by online dating site OkCupid shows what people across the country are (and aren't) into. It aggregated responses and preferences from users on the platform in 2015, and drew some pretty interesting conclusions. For example, it found that users in Washington looked for casual sex more than any other state, closely followed by Oregon and Vermont. The study also found that nearly 20 percent of users in Utah listed themselves as virgins, which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who's been to Utah.

In terms of getting super kinky, OkCupid users really love tying each other up. The study found that 58 percent of users on the site have a desire to participate in bondage, 60 percent of which prefer to be tied up to doing the tying. Thanks 50 Shades of Grey!

But as sexually liberated as those findings make America seem, the study shows that there are a lot of people that still have some pretty antiquated views. In Mississippi, 18 percent of OkCupid users responded that they are not okay with interracial marriage. That figure is at 12 and 11 percent in Arkansas and Alabama (picking up a trend here?).

Overall, the study should go a long way toward making people feel less strange about their weird sexual habits. After all, more than half of the respondents said that they masturbate a few times a week, with close to another quarter saying that they touch themselves once or more a day. Hopefully they're keeping their hands on the keyboard while scrolling through OkCupid.
