Subway’s $5 Footlong deal has come to an end

Nope, nothing can escape inflation forever. Not even one of fast food’s most well-known deals, the $5 Footlong at Subway. The bargain began way back in 2007, and now it was high time for the company to end its run. (And let’s be honest, how many times would you even order it? The choice was pretty limited.)

In an effort to soften the sting (you should see the comments their poor public relations intern is having to field on Facebook), today Subway is offering their own shell game spin: Sub-mageddon. For the rest of February, all of the chain's classic Footlong subs are $6. So you can sink your choppers into a Subway club, chicken and bacon ranch melt, turkey breast, and more, all for six bucks. Yup, even the chicken bacon ranch and meatball sub, for those of you who know which sandwiches cost more. Go wild.
