Switching between Instagram accounts is finally possible—here’s how to do it

Finally! Yesterday, Instagram announced that users can now switch between multiple accounts—super helpful for photography stars or anyone with a separate account for their puppy. After whispered rumors last week and testing in November, everybody who has version 7.15 on iOS or Android can toggle back and forth between up to five accounts without typing in a password approximately a million times a day. You'll have so much newfound free time to stalk the best NYC, L.A., Chicago and other Instagram accounts and find the perfect filter to get likes galore.

It’s super simple: Just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of your profile and go down to the new Add Account line at the bottom. After logging into an alternate account (for the last time in a long time), you’ll be able to access a dropdown near your name and switch back and forth to your heart’s content.

Can’t find it? Just log out of your account and log back in, and it should update itself. Easy! Instagram also added handy icons of your profile picture throughout the app so you never accidentally post blurry happy hour photos on your professional account.

Now all we need is the ability to schedule posts. That’s next, right, Instagram gods?
