Time Out says

TuRae’s comedy career began in the 1990?s while attending Temple University. Encouraged by friends, he entered and won his first open mic competition at the famous Philadelphia Laff House. The club immediately named him house MC providing the opportunity to develop his thoughtful and unique point of view. Drawing on his urban upbringing and experiences, the 66 failed basketball star and neighborhood geek demonstrates an engaging and earnest style of comedy with broad appeal. Laughin Lenny: You have seen him on HBO Def Comedy Jam, B.E.T. Comic View, God ain't no joke, on the heavy hitters show, the military comedy tour, Channel 5 News, Womens walking in the word with Dr. Dee Dee Freeman and many more.

As the self-proclaimed “Baby Hair, Super Fresh”, with respect to her trademark “sassy Mohawk”,
B-Phlat’s personality is as big as a comedy. With high-profile appearances on TV Guide Channel’s”
brand new series “Stand-Up in Stilettos”, Nick Jr.’s new network “Nick Mom’s Night Out”, HBO’s Def
Comedy Jam and Showtime’s Comics Without Borders, to name a few, B-Phlat has been universally
spreading her own unique blend of brassy, yet sophisticated humor. In 2009, B-Phlat showcased on
several stages at the Just For Laughs-Montreal Comedy Festival, one of the world’s premiere comedy
exhibitions. Her comedy goes beyond laughs, as she strays from the norms of man-bashing, and instead
uses hysterical routines to honestly examine her life and surroundings.
