The USP of this family-run London legend, in business since 1948 and still in excellent health, is its own range of road bikes, built to order on a bespoke basis. Having chosen a model, prospective purchasers are propped on a fitting jig and measured for the correct frame and components, with clued-up staff adding appropriate parts according to the buyer’s budget. But while Condor is heaven for the serious road cyclist, there’s plenty for casual riders too. The basement showroom also has some off-the-peg bikes from other manufacturers, and the range of accessories on the main floor is perhaps the best in town.

Great place. Stuffed full of everything you need for cycling. I used their bike fit (despite not having a Condor, they their service is available for any bike rider) and a shoe fitting service, extremely helpful and made my cycling feel so much better without selling me loads of new stuff. Very friendly
Wow!! I knew I would have an afternoon to kill in London and was after a pair of winter cycling gloves. Did a search for best cycling shops and narrowed it down to three to look at on way back to Kings Cross. Glad I left this one till last - what a fantastic range of gear and really unobtrusive, yet helpful and knowledgeable staff. Some fab gear in brilliant retro colours and designs from Rapha and other makes I never see in your usual high street shop. I couln't afford much of the gear but they had exactly the gloves I wanted reduced in a sale - happy days!!
