Cirque du Soleil's Totem

From three circus-themed productions (Bello Mania at the New Vic, Cirque's Totem at Citi Field and Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey's Built to Amaze at Barclays Center) to new musicals based on children's books, this year's spring break for kids is filled with more stage performances than ever before. (We're not surprised—the city's thriving children's theater scene was on our list of why NYC is the best place to raise kids.) With public-school kids off from school for 11 days (and many of the shows offering special performances all week long), it's the perfect time to check out one of these new productions. Looking for more activities during spring break for kids interested in theater? Tada, the New Vic and other venues around the city are hosting spring break camps where budding thespians can learn how to juggle or even star in an original mini-musical.
