Fleet Week is officially here and the sailors have arrived to go out on the town! But there are plenty of Navy-themed activities for regulars New Yorkers as well. Head to these events show your appreciation, learn more about our men in uniform and more!

Wednesday, May 25

The Parade of Ships
Time - TBD
Pier 86/ Hudson River
Catch the ships and nearly 5,000 sailors as they make their way into the city kicking off the annual Fleet Week.

Jeff Bridgman's Fleet Week to Flag Day Exhibition 
11am - 5pm
The National Arts Club
Beginning May 25th through Flag Day, June 14th collector Jeff Bridgman will be displaying a sampling of his collection of American flags, political textiles and rare naval offerings at the National Arts Club. 

Thursday, May 26

Salute to Freedom 25th Anniversary Gala
6pm
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum
This ticketed event will be held on the flight deck of the Intrepid in honor of Vice President Joe Biden, retired astronaut Captain Scott J. Kelly, USN (Ret.) and chairman/CEO of RXR Realty Scott Rechler. 

Friday, May 27

Top Gun
Dusk
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum
The yearly event not only helps to kick-off Fleet Week, but it’s the first film of the Intrepid Museum’s summer film series. There is probably no better viewing experience of this classic than aboard an aircraft carrier with hoards of Navy personnel.

Saturday, May 28

Joint Aviation Event
1am – 2pm
Eisenhower Park
Military bands, displays of equipment and demonstrations by the Navy’s parachute team the “Leap Frogs” will highlight this event along with an aerial performance by CH-53 Stallion Helicopters and AH-1W Cobras.

Fleet Week Regatta
1pm – 5pm
New York Harbor
The Manhattan Yacht Club will host this inaugural regatta in New York Harbor and will finish at the Statue of Liberty.

Sunday, May 29

U.S. Marine Corps Battle Colors Detachment
10am
9/11 Memorial
The Marine Corps silent drill team and drum and bugle corps will be paying tribute to those lost in 9/11.

Fleet Week at Liberty State Park
10am – 4pm
Liberty State Park
Numerous demonstrations including the “Leap Frogs,” helos with fast roping, and U.S. Coast Guard search and rescue will highlight this Liberty State Park event. Additionally, military bands, drill teams and military displays will be present.  

Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum Block Party
1pm - 6pm
Pier 84
Join "The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus for rum, BBQ, tattoos and a free performance by Cage the Elephant as Sailor Jerry celebrates the contributions of Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen. Tickets are free to this event and will be available beginning May 25 here

Brooklyn Cruise Terminal: USS Farragut (DDG 99), USS Bainbridge (DDG 96), USCGC Forward (WMEC 911)
