One of the best things to do in the summer in New York is kicking back at waterfront bar with the sun beating down and a gorgeous view of the water. Unfortunately, with those killer views often come killer prices. Take advantage of these post-work happy hours at some of the best waterfront bars in the city to start your summer nights off right without breaking the bank.

Pier A Harbor House (22 Battery Pl) At this recently renovated waterfront bar at the very southern tip of Manhattan, the 1886 special will get you 8 oysters and a pint of Guinness or Long Hall Lager for just $18.86 from 4pm to 6pm. Slurp up!

The Rusty Knot (425 West St) Monday to Friday from 4pm to 7pm, this divey, wood-paneled waterfront bar in the West Village offers 2 for 1 Busch pints, well cocktails and a view of the Hudson River.

The Water Club (30th St at The East River) This yacht club-like throwback hosts a happy hour every Tuesday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm with $6 draft beers, $5 bottle beers, $8 glasses of wine and dollar oysters. The rooftop Crow’s Nest bar is especially worthwhile.

La Marina (348 Dyckman St.) This relaxed Washington Heights bar has some of the most gorgeous views of the Hudson River in the entire city. Every Monday to Friday from 4-7pm, you can hit up the waterfront enclave for $5 beer, house liquor, wine & sangria by the glass and special $25 sangria pitchers.

Boat Basin (West 79th St at The Hudson River) This secluded Riverside Park destination, with views of a marina, is always hopping on a sunny day. From Monday to Friday 3-6pm, you can get $2 off all beer, well liquor and wine at the bar.
