Here's what the deluxe new movie theater on 57th St will look like

You already love Landmark's Sunshine—now a sister theater is being planned for spring 2017. Joining the 57WEST "superblock" development between 57th and 58th Streets and Eleventh and Twelfth Avenues, the far West Side cinema will duplicate the Indiewood programming and fancy popcorn of Landmark's Houston Avenue location, but will add electric reclining seats and advance ticketing. It could be a game-changer for the area, currently served by Loews Lincoln Square, Lincoln Plaza and the Film Society of Lincoln Center, but one that lacks the edgy, bespoke venues of downtown.
