Pommes Frites is finally open again after last year’s explosion

The fries are back in town! Pommes Frites is finally open again after a gas explosion laid waste to its Second Avenue location 14 months ago. We’ve been waiting with baited breath for its new 128 MacDougal Street location, and today the deliciously greasy French fries made a quiet return.

With the help of an Indiegogo campaign, owners Suzanne Levinson and Omer Shorshi raised $25K to replace the 19-year-old East Village fry fixture. Previously scheduled for an April opening, the new spot is working with limited hours and staff for its first two weeks and asks for your patience. Anything for you, Pommes Frites.
