Uber has teamed up with another powerhouse—NBC Sports Group—to offer free rides to “footballers” (or soccer lovers) in New York. And these “cabs” are a bit flashier than the sleek, black cars you’re used to.
If you’re a fan of the Barclays Premier League kicking off this Saturday, NBC Sports Group is unleashing 20 custom-skinned Mini Cooper Countrymans—one for each of the 20 Barclays Premier League teams—into the Uber platform to welcome the new season and most importantly, offer complimentary rides to you.
This isn’t the first time Uber handed out freebies to New Yorkers, but it looks like you get more than just a free chauffeur this time around.
