Mexican culture has contributed so much more to New York City than cheap margarita deals, which is why this Cinco de Mayo, we're highlighting the Mexican New Yorkers who push the culture forward year round. Luckily, appreciation and fun can go hand-in-hand, and there's an abundance of Mexican-owned and -run spots that will be celebrating the culture in its many forms. Although the holiday falls on Monday, May 5, there's plenty to do that day and on the weekend that precedes it.
