Flame Con, NYC's first-ever LGBT comic convention, has arrived! After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the folks from queer-advocacy nonprofit Geeks OUT present this bash at Grand Prospect Hall on June 13, where nerds can chat about comic books and video games and mingle with its makers (as well as indulging in some amazing cosplay—if the photos and video from last year’s New York Comic Con are anything to go by, we should see some pretty incredible costumes). Superhero writers and illustrators sell and discuss toons created for and by the LGBT community, and Geeks OUT debuts its own POWER comic anthology—here, see some of the cartoons it features.
